Osbaston

Project description:

150kw twin screw turbine installation on the River Monnow, Monmouthshire. This project included piled support and reinforced concrete structure.

 

Role: Contractor. Civil and mechanical installation.

 

Client: Old Manor Electric Company.

Project description: 

100kw Archimedean Screw turbine on the River Ouse, North Yorkshire. This project included a sheet piled channel and reinforced concrete supporting structure.

Mickley Mill

Project description:

100kw screw turbine installation on the River Ure, North Yorkshire.
This project included constructing a new reinforced concrete structure to an
existing historic mill race channe and installation of a two flight Larinier fish pass.

 

Role: Principal contractor: responsible for all civil and mechanical installation

Tetstill Mill

Project description:

Installation of self-supporting Alaskan ‘A’ Fish pass on the River Rea, Shropshire.

Design and fabrication of the pass was carried out by Fishtek Ltd, Devon.

River Exe

Project description:

Installation of pre-barrage weir and adherent nappe notch block on the River Exe, Devon.Concrete notch block designed by Fishtek Ltd, Devon.

Clapton Weir Fish Pass

Project description:

Installation of new fish passon the river Axe.

Clapton Weir Fish Pass Project was undertaken for the Westcountry Rivers Trust as part of the wider Axe and Exe River Improvement Project.  The aim of the work is to improve fish passage for salmon, sea-trout and eels to the upper Axe to help meet the targets of good ecological status under the Water Framework Directive.

 

This work was funded through the DEFRA’s Catchment Restoration Fund administered by the Environment Agency.
